Lantern
Wood at Lyme Park was in cloud for the first part of the morning with 14 volunteers
trying to decide if it was actually raining or just wet dripping off the trees.
The
tangle of rhododendron branches posed a challenge to the group, but by the end
of the day there was daylight in parts to the clearing by the lantern.
Looking back down the hill a substantial amount has been removed and the wood is starting to breathe again. Next year the woodland flowers should start to return.
